This saw features an electronically-controlled BL Brushless motor that adjusts torque and RPM based on the application. The XRJ05Z is packed with efficiency features that ensure faster cutting. With a generous 1-1/4” stroke length, cutting efficiency is increased significantly. The crank mechanism design has been fine-tuned to minimize blade deflection and reduce vibration during operation. Additionally, the saw is equipped with an L.E.D. light to illuminate the cutting line, a retractable tool hook for convenience, and a "tool-less" Blade Change system for quick blade installation and removal.

The Makita-built variable 2-speed Brushless motor offers strokes per minute in the range of 0-2,300 (low) and 0-3,000 (high), enabling faster cutting. The Variable speed trigger further enhances user convenience. Despite its powerful performance, this reciprocating saw boasts a compact and ergonomic design, measuring only 17-1/4" in length and weighing a mere 8.2 lbs. (battery not included), minimizing operator fatigue during extended use.

Included in the package are a 6" 6TPI Recipro Saw Blade (723054-A-1) and the tool itself. Battery and charger are sold separately.
